We are extremely excited to announce that our product; Versus has been selected to participate in the renowned 2018 Cannes Academy Program with R/GA Ventures from June 17th to June 22nd, 2018 in Cannes, France.
Formerly known as the International Advertising Festival, the Cannes Academy Program is one of the world’s biggest festival and awards specifically for tech, design, market communications and creative industries. This will be its 65th festival since its inception in 1954. It is held every June at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France with global brands and delegates from over 90 countries attending.
According to Stephen Plumlee, Managing Partner of R/GA Ventures, the aim of the Cannes Academy Program is to help startups quicken their growth and development, and expose industry leaders to new market and networking opportunities, business modules and emerging technologies.
Our COO, Chika Uwazie did a wonderful job representing us because with double the amount of inbound applications this year compared to 2017 and only 50 interviews globally, Versus was one of the only 8 companies selected. Don’t you think we deserve some accolades? Yes we do, because we’re global now! This year is particularly special because the academy is focused on promoting female leaders.
Versus is a product founded by Kemdi Ebi and Ikezi Kamanu which combines online and offline consumer data to give brands actionable and competitive insight for the African market.
Versus is a solution designed to not only cater to local based languages tracked online, but also includes a line of communication to a plethora of everyday brand consumers offline to gather data around their sentiment and other relevant information for insights.
